Good God! So you think you're a Christian? (V 1.1)
A pamphlet aimed at questioning Christians, covert addition to church bookstalls, nonchalantly leaving on your Christian flat-mate's coffee table etc. Demonstrates that there is no more historical evidence for the certain existence of Jesus than there is for King Arthur, and that even if there were, it does not support the Gospels. Also addresses common arguments for God's existence, theistic come-backs, and atheistic morality etc.

The Evidence Available in Our Universe Shows That God Really Does Not Exist
"I've heard Christian responses to many of these claims, and not that those responses are any valid, but it’s always good for atheists to be able to recite a quick list like this. And Christians do need to have responses to these claims if they want to defend their faith."

top 12 excuses for Evil
The problem of evil is the No.1 reason given by ex-religious Atheists and agnostics for renouncing their faith.

Can We please have our world back?!? (2 mins 44 secs)
A short clip from the Now Show where Marcus Briggestocke, the giant of stand up comedy and outraged yet surprisingly clear remarks, admonishes the abrahamic religions for their idiocy.

Respect for Religious (and Other) Beliefs
" In a continuing discussion of atheists standing up for their beliefs, I would like to address another obstacle to discussion and debate - a false dichotomy.
“Either you are an ally in our fight to rid the world of faith, or you share responsibility for all of the religiously motivated terrorism and violence that we see in the world today.”
“Either you are for us, or you are for the terrorists.”
It is a simple-minded way of looking at the world suitable for people who cannot handle more complex realities.
Where do I stand on the issue of tolerance for religion?"

NONTRACTS: ATHEIST AND AGNOSTIC LEAFLETS AND PAMPHLETS

FROM CYBERGUY's ATHEIST RESOURCES:
"Please note, these pamphlets are not intended to be handed out on street corners, but are an information resource meant to support a face-to-face conversation when you perhaps don't have the time to do the subject justice, or the other person is becoming entrenched, illogical, aggressive, etc. Then you can move the discussion to the appropriate brochure, to let it do some of the arguing for you. Or you might want to put a few in the local library (or school library!)"

What is Atheism?

The Scientific Method and Burden of Proof
Supporters of religion sometimes argue that atheists first need to prove that there is no god. "Look at the complexity of nature and the Universe”, they say. “It has to have been designed! Prove that there was no designer for all of this!”.

This point of view is actually back-to-front, and comes from ignorance about how we understand objective reality in a coherent way.

Evolution in a nutshell
There is a lot of misinformation spread about evolution, but it is actually both a clever and simple idea. And it can be explained very easily.

Church State Separation in the UK: The case against
" There are many things I have envied about the USA in the past, not least its separation of Church and State. What wouldn't I give for the opportunity to sue my wayward headmaster for daring to force me to take part in a daily act of prayer or listen for twenty minutes as he insists on talking to us about his religion or religious book. Don't get me wrong, he has every right to a religion--but in the privacy of his own head. Students have plenty of spare time of their own to pray should they so wish, as does he. School is no place for religion. Especially not a specialist science college."

MYSPACE debate: Has God's Non-existence been effectively proved?
Transcript of a debate published periodically in the bulletins of MySpace by Dom and friends.

The origins of faith and logic: World Views in Conflict
Yet another attempt to organise unoriginal thoughts on faith and logic, this paper explains Dom's conviction that there are two fundamental world views: those of people who value logic, and those who value faith. The Logic world view is based on perception, the Faitheist world view on the fact that if you believe something and it feels right it must be true. You can't prove this way of thinking is wrong, and it's fairly widespread, so right or not it needs integrating into a theory somehow. It considers why Dawkins and all the other Militant Godless will never get anywhere arguing with religious people on grounds of logic, however hard they try. Essentially, it states the obvious facts of the matter.
Inspired by this debate

Empty Philosophy
A free association typing outpouring of more sophisticated beliefs about the world. What can be proved? Nothing. What is therefore of value? Nothing. Since I am trapped in an apparent reality, however, I must create my own goal, justify it rationally (albeit unprovably) and set out to acheive it whilst giving myself optimum happiness.

The Ultionis in Deist Manifesto
Here is an article combining Dom's own arguments and those of people scattered over the 'net into a philosophical hypothesis supposedly proving that any single God, as worshipped by most modern religions, can not be fundamentaly good. It also contains a list of Ultionis in Deist Festivals (incomplete) and the thirty-one commandments of Ultionis in Deism. This manifesto is Old (circa 2006) and although still interesting for its criticims of the bible, this merely represents the thinking-on-paper that led to my discovery of the Problem of Evil, which has been around for thousands of years. Thus, this paper proves that there is no such thing as an original idea.

SOME THINGS TO RUIN YOUR CHRISTMAS
just a short, cynical little article about christmas, including a short 'modern church' style drama (like the ones our local vicar liked to do for his captive audience of school kids), on the incompatibility of faith and logic.
